1.1 Class Protocols
1) Parent/Carer Presence: All students who are not old enough to travel to and from training on their own, must be accompanied by a parents/carer who is required to wait until the Student Entry Protocol, detailed below, is completed.
2) Waiting before lessons: Please adhere to the guidance at each Club to ensure proper social distancing measures are adhered to when waiting for a class to begin.
3) Student Entry Protocol: All students will have their temperature checked, before every class, in order to gain entry to the lesson. Students will be asked to use hand sanitiser, provided prior to entry.
4) Sickness: If a student shows signs of being unwell or has a high temperature, they will not be allowed to join the lessons and should follow relevant guidance for when they are able to return to lessons again
5) Class Entry: The Student Entry Protocol will start 5 mins prior to the start time of the session to ensure lessons start on time.
6) Changing Facilities: There will be no changing facilities of any kind, available at Elite Martial Arts Centre. Students will not be allowed to train in hallways or corridors prior to a class and must be fully changed before entering a venue. A tracksuit, worn over the uniform, which is removed on entry, is allowed.
7) Controlled use of toilets: Toilet facilities will only be used for emergencies, and are not available for general use. Although we recognise this is not always possible, students are to try and make use of toilet facilities, prior to arriving at the Club, so it is not needed during a lesson. We ask for Parent/Carer assistance with this, in the case of our younger members. Toilets will not be available for changing under any circumstance.
8) No spectators: As per our usual rules, no spectators are allowed inside a class when it is in progress, but we can no longer allow parents/carers to wait in a venue while a class is in session due to social distancing measures.
9) Limited Class Sizes: Although we have always maintained a strict instructor / student ratio class sizes are now further limited to adhere to Social Distancing measures. Only students who are registered for a specific class, will be allowed to attend. Students will not be able to attend other classes, for which they aren’t registered.
10) Late Arrivals: The Student Entry Protocol will be closed at the scheduled start time of a lesson. If a student arrives after this time, we reserve the right to refuse entry to the class, and the student will not be refunded for the session. Time keeping is essential to ensure that all the safety protocols are adhered to, and to prevent disruption to the class for the other students.
11) Collection: There are 15-minute gaps between each of our lessons to allow time for the students to collect their belongings and vacate a venue. This also provides instructors suitable time to clean any equipment and prepare for the entry protocols for the next lesson. To maintain as much class, timetable continuity we have specific timings which must be adhered to.
12) Instructor Queries: Unfortunately, due to enhanced entry Protocols and venue preparation between sessions there is very little time for instructors to speak to parents or students before or after classes. If you have any questions for your child’s instructor, please email the club instead and we will be in contact to assist.

Ability | Has the student achieved the relevant technical competency for the grade they wish to be promoted to. |
Age | Is the student old enough for the grade, based on the NP Taekwon-do Academy criteria. |
Attitude | Does the student have the correct attitude and responsibility for the grade they wish to be promoted to. |
Activity | This is relevant for more senior grades, but in addition to training in class with their instructor, we also look at whether the student is doing any external practice or conditioning to help their progress |
